TC27X changing BMI from user application

Hello,

I'm having issues on how to enter the bootstrap loader (generic bootstrap loader) once the user application has been already run. I don't want to modify the HWCFG pins each time I want to enter the bootstrap loader.
The user manual for the TC27X states that the BMI register holds the value which sets the startup mode, but this is an address in the PFLASH, which I presume I cannot change while the user application is running.

My presumption was I could modify the BMI register and then force a soft-reset and the processor would jump into the bootstrap loader.

Is there a possibility to enter the bootstrap loader from the user app?
