Hi Christine,
VADC(Versatile Analog-to-Digital Converter) is one of multi-functionalities hardware module that converts analog signal to digital signal with MCU VADC channel pins. It consists of up to 8 channels pins in TC27x. For more details VADC, please refer to TC27x user manual document.
DSADC (Delta-Sigma Analog-to-Digital Converter): It is designed specifically to convert resolver signal sine and cosine information into digital representation of input angle and velocity. DSADC come with built-in on-chip carrier generator which produces a selectable output signal (sine, triangle, rectangle) which can be used to simulate resolver signal. Alternatively, we can configure synchronization of each DSADC input signals to carrier signal to compensate error of angle.
In short, this hardware module converts analog resolver input signal to position information. It does not require external monolithic sensor IC.
DSADC modulator clock frequency is 20Mhz, VADC reference clock is about 1M~ 2Mhz.
Best regards,
Mr. AURIX™
