Unable to do send data in UART comminication

I am using XMC 2GO kit. I tried to do UART communication with DAVE software and a serial communication software Docklight. I successfully sent strings to Docklight but whwn I tried to send data back from Docklight to DAVE, nothing happened. A tab keeps opening with following error:

No source available for "(gdb[0].proc[42000].threadGroup[i1],gdb[0].proc[42000].OSthread[1]).thread[1].frame[0]"

What could be the possible error? And how can it be solved.

Thanks for the help.

Dear All,

I am working on USB Device driver development. I need transmit some data from the device to USB host.
I got following example "USBD_VCOM_APP_Example_XMC45". However it is an APP based project.

Kindly share some example codes which are not App based.

Thank you In anticipation

Question about SRAM declaration at XMC4700

$

Short question I work with a XMC4700 board
Overall, the controller has 352 Kbytes SRAM

from data sheet:

PSRAM 1FFE 8000-1FFF FFFF hex 96 KByte
DSRAM 2000 0000-2001 FFFF hex 128 KByte
CSRAM 2002 0000-2003 FFFF hex 128 KByte

My question, can I use 150 kByte contiguously as GRAM Buffer

Where and how would I have to declare such an area (DSRAM+CSRAM)?

Thank you for your help

Using a driver (IRS21844S) without the boot cap circuit

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to use an H-Bridge driver chip without resorting to the boot strap cap method. The FETs themselves are switching a +96V circuit, and what I'd like to do is connect a +108V signal directly to Vboost. Is this possible? What other considerations do I need to make or take into account?
Thanks, Dan B.

M1-CM610N3 Power Board -- EXAMPLE FILES

Hallo,
I have just bought the new EVAL-M1-CM610N3 power board equipped with the CIPOS mini IKCM10L60GA, to be tested with the Eval M1-1302, the control board with XMC1302.
I have tried to find some examples for this board, but I couldn't find any solution.
We are developing a new BLDC motor for sanding tools, and we would like to test your FOC solution.

Do I have to follow different configurations?

Thank you very much for your help

Infineon TLE9879 Eval Kit Bridge short problem

Thanks God. Someone is there who answers in the forum. I has lost all hope from this Forum. Thanks M.K. for answering.
After so many days I checked the forum and I am answering right now.
I have checked the Errata section in the user manual.
And I had already found out
9.2 Jumper (JP6) not connected to VDDP And I did the work around.
9.1 Short of internal layer 2 and Jumper (JP4). But i have nothing to do with as I am not using VDDEXT.

I have 2 nos of TLE9879 Eval Kit .But my problem remains at BRDV is not switching On in both Boards.

1) We have checked the MOSFETs & Measured: (Drain-Source, Gate-Source, Gate-Drain) there are no shorts. (100% sure)
2) For Board No. 1, VCP is low(5V) and Board No. 2, VCP is OK.(>12V)
3) Clear Interrupt Status Flags: Did SCUPM->BDRV_ISCLR.reg (TLE9879 User Manual rev1.3 Page: 198) (Screenshot attached for Board No. 1 )
Attachment 3269

Board No 1 shows supply error.
And for Board No. 2, doesn't show any error. But when I switch on the bridge drive(Brdv_Set_Bridge(xx,xx,xx,xx,xx,xx)) all MOSFET show over current error.(I will provide the screenshot when available).

4) I am not sure. But i am able to program both of the boards all peripherals(GPIO, ADC, PWM, UART etc.) except BRDV.

XMC4800 Automation Board V2 - How to debug / program ?

HI Marc,

to quote User Manual: "The XMC4800 Automation Board-V2 supports debugging via a 10-pin Cortex™ Debug Connector. To program and debug the chip any standard ARM™ debugger can be used." Example of those kind of devices are XMC Link or Keil uLink products. Just make sure you see that it connects via a 10-pin Cortex™ Debug Connector.

Deni

Dear M.K,
I have 2 TLE9879 Eval Kit but both of the board shoe Bridge Drive Short problem. It has been almost one and half month but still Infineon TAC are not able to resolve this issue.
I really doubt it is a software error because BRDV-> CTRL1 and CTRL2 registers never cone to their reset state as defined in the datasheet.

Help develop a Joystick with XMC4500 with TLE493D-A1B6 3D Magnetic Sensor, OPEN SOURC

Hi everyone, I'm trying to do an Open source project with the XMC4500 and the 3D magnetic sensor TLE493D. The idea is to make a Standard Joystick with two control levers with the TLE493D, 13 Buttons, 2 Analogs. And that could work on PCs and retro emulators like Retro Pi and its derivatives

I would like to discuss this idea with you so we can build something cool and interesting for us.

Best regards

I had the same problem with Broadcom.
I successfully used a KSZ8081MLX from Microchip for my application. Only change in the firmware was to write a register in the PHY to change the link LED behavior as described in the Beckhoff selection guide.

Good luck

Debug Issue

Hello,

I am newbee on Dave4.
I am trying to debug my code and getting this error: No source available for "main() at 0x100026ae"
But some how Code is working it does intended function. Only thing is i am not able debug it line by line.

Problems downloading Dave4

I'm trying to download Dave4 from the "personal download link" I was emailed, but it's impossibly slow, on two different networks. The download starts at an estimated 4-5 hours, and often gets as far as a few hundred meg before claiming to be finished.

As I say, that's on two different networks - a fast home network (~90 Mb download speeds), and a work network. Unless the problem is the link to Australia, it's not my end.

Are there any alternatives for getting hold of the full DAVE? I managed to get the SDK (a few hundred meg, several hours downloading) - is that useful without the IDE?

TLE9879 Eval Kit Bridge drive Not Functioning

Dear all,
In tle987 Eval Kit, I generate PWM using CCU6 and check the output in the Pins P0.x & P1.x and it functions Ok.
But when allow the PWM to connect with Bridge Drive(BRDV), I do not see any PWM at MOSFET gates.

For this, I have the following program where I wanted to check the PWM at GH1(High side MOSFET1) and it is not available but at Pin 0.4 it is available.

Configuration settings in IFX configwizard

Hi,

Can you please further explain what you want to do?

How to activate the Bridgedriver, is already explained in this thread:
https://www.infineonforums.com/threa...ot-Functioning

The Input voltages depends on the different channels of ADC2.
The easiest way to read the ADC2 values is to use the user API functions:

uint16 ADC2_VS_Result_mV(void);
uint16 ADC2_VSD_Result_mV(void);
uint16 ADC2_VCP_Result_mV(void);
uint16 ADC2_MON_Result_mV(void);
uint16 ADC2_VAREF_Result_mV(void);
uint16 ADC2_VDDP_Result_mV(void);
uint16 ADC2_VBG_Result_mV(void);
uint16 ADC2_VDDC_Result_mV(void);
sint16 ADC2_Temp_Result_C(void);

The result values are scaled related to their internal attenuators, units, and the ADC2 resolution.

TLE9879x - NAC and NAD

$

Hello,

The NAD and NAC values are explained in the "Bootrom User Manual" and in the "FAQ Application Note".

Here are the direct links to the product pages, where the documents can be found:
https://www.infineonforums.com/threa...IC-Information

(NAD) Node Address for Diagnostic
The NAD value specifies the address of the active slave node for LIN.

(NAC) No Activity Count
The NAC value defines the time window after reset release in which the firmware is able to receive a BSL connection messages.
The bits 3 to 0 define the duration of the time window, while the bits 6 and 7 of the NAC define which BSL interface is selected.

M.K.
