Hi, I see that you are using PMBUS commands on an IRPS5401. I have Infineon DB295 - a dev board with an IRPS5401, and I am trying to issue PMBus commands to retrieve VOUT_MODE,
for example. But my reads are timing out. Here is what I do:

i2cwrite slave 0x40 1-byte-offset: 0x00 input: 0x01 ----- Select page 1 (i.e. SWB)
i2cread slave: 0x40 1-byte-offset: 0x20 read-bytes: 1 ----- issue VOUT_MODE command to read 1 byte

The writes "seem" to work but the reads get a timeout. What am I missing? Thanks in advance.

You will need to compile and link the ComLib C interface correctly. I can provide details on that if you aren't sure how.

Unless it has been fixed since v1.0.0, you will encounter compiler errors. It appears several files were renamed, but their corresponding #include within the interface were not updated. Some macros may also be undefined. Solve these and the interface should work.

Additionally, the extract_raw_data.c is not a good example program. It does not extract the entire buffer, only the first 64 points (I think, can't remember). The buffer is of length (num chirps) * (pts per chirp) * (num antennas) * (data format). For default settings, this should be 16*64*2*2 = 4096. The user manual describes how the data is formatted within the buffer.

I downloaded the XMCLib using the following link:

But the version within DAVE is 2.1.20.

Where can I find latest version of the XMCLib ?

first you have to switch on the "synchronous clock source" of CLKSEL[i] in the MCR, before you can modify the contents of the CCCR[i].

The DAVE_Init is defined as weak function in DAVE.c:

__WEAK DAVE_STATUS_t DAVE_Init(void)


Check you have the latest Device Pack installed.

Among the files generated by the the SSC Tool there is an xml file, put it in the twincat ethercat folder replacing the old xml. Close and re-open twincat in order to update the esi file

Hi all:
I designed a board using XMC4800 as the controller and KSZ8001 as the ethercat phy.
The MCU works fine, and the Regs of the PHY can be read correctly with XMCLIB function, but the cable coonected to PC cannot be recognized, the net connection is broken.
I checked the net cable, cannot find any clue.
I do not know how to get out of the trap. Any idea about this problem? Thanks a lot.

Hello Muatrazi,

Unfortunately we do not have any example code or document to establish communication between the TLE987x and TLE5012b.
Have you already tried to make them to talk over 3-wire SPI? You could also try using PWM .
