PMS_AG21_STDBY=0 or 1 for SAK-TC387TP when all external power supplies are used

Hello Support,

For BGA-292 SAK-TC397 Aurix device, Ball G17 is PORST_N signal.
Will activating [pulling down] PORST_N signal clear this PMS_AG21_STDBY Register contents to zero?
During Cold Power On, will this PMS_AG21_STDBY register bits get set/fault before PORST_N signal is deactivated [pulled high] if any external supply are beyond spec due to noise/glitch?

Best Regards

Hi Ruan,

my recommendation is to look for another power device first. The body diode of HV Si-Mosfets generally has very poor reverse recovery behaviour. But his is mandatory for any application where an inductive current is to be commutated. Change to fast IGBT with a co-packaged diode or an SiC-Mosfet.

hello Guys,
It worked, I used IfxScuWdt_clearSafetyEndinit(IfxScuWdt_getSafetyWa tchdogPassword()); as cwunder(Chris) said and now I can able to gerate a clock frequency.

I am trying to figure out FDR STEP calculation for generation ~30 MHz from fSPB = 100 Mhz.
Kindly shed some light.

Thank you guys for your support.

How send data by udp between PC and XMC4800 Relax EtherCAT Kit

$

Hello, I am trying to make a udp communication between the PC and the XMC4800 Relax EtherCAT Kit. With the example HTTP_SEVER_NON_RTOS_XMC47 it works for me. But, nevertheless, now I want to communicate without a web server.
I have been reading for a few days and I have seen that it is done with the ETH_LWIP block in DAVE 4 but of course there is only one IP assigned to it and no Port and Local Port is set. So of course, I don't know what port and local port to put in the UDP Send and UDP Receive blocks of my PC model in Simulink.
Help would be very useful as I hurry.
Thanks for all beforehand.

Hello.
We plan to use a chip from the TLE987x family in development.
Is it possible to protect flash firmware from further reading (readout protect)?
In the documentation, I read that the chip is always available for any operations via SWD.

TLE9879 Evaluation Kit FOC speed issue

Hi x94ho2! Yes, you might need to adjust the software and adapt it to your motor or switch to a Hall sensor application. When running at low speed, a motor exhibits a low BEMF voltage amplitude.
This could cause the BEMF comparators to detect wrong transitions in the block commutation. But before surrendering, I would try to modify the BEMF parameter we have integrated in the example code.
To easily access these parameters we have created a special panel in the Config Wizard. If you have correctly installed the toolkit, you can access it from Kiel uVision, click on the menu Tool and then on Config Wizard V2.2.1.
Attachment 4451
There you can see the panel dedicated to the BEMF motor parameters. Adapt your motor to the software and try to change the comparators blanking times.
Could you also show me some oscilloscope plots of your phases while the motor is running? We could analyze those to see wether the commutation happens correctly or not.
Good luck!

XMC4000 TIP of the day: Event Request Unit (ERU) for peripherals trigger.

Hello,
I am new to Microcontrollers and XMC / DAVE. I have a XMC1300 Boot Kit and I am trying to use the Event Detector and Event Generator apps to enable a LED when holding a Button.
There is a number of ways to do this in software or with interrupts but I am doing a series of examples to get to know the XMC and would like to do this without interrupts.
This is my configuration:
Attachment 4453
The Button is connected to port 2.6 and I am using the onboard LED at port 0.0.
When I debug this setup, the LED turns on immediately after startup and is always on. The button seems to do nothing.
What am I doing wrong here?

DAVE_Init() does not finish when Pin App Method is used

Hi,

I have startet a Project on the XMC2Go Baord that for now uses the DAVE-Apps PWM and ADC. The files are in the Attachement.
The observation is now that
- PWM starts normally (seen on Output Pin P0.7) if I comment out line 45 in main.c.
- Program does NOT finish the step "status=DAVE_Init();" if this line is not commentet out. No PWM-Signal on Pin 0.7.

But line 45 reads only " DIGITAL_IO_SetOutputLow(&DIGITAL_IO_0);". It has no connection to the PWM.

Why is that?

hello,

I have the following Hexagon XMC4200 Kit. How can i utilize the SPI on that kit?

I mean i can not use the interface pins of the spi as they are not connected on the ACT satellite connector. Is there any way to use SPI on that kit?

Thanks in advance

CAN FD configuration for TC264D

$

Hi,

we have working standard CAN for 500 Kbps, now we are developing CAN FD on top it for Micro Controller (SAL TC264 D).

These are the changes made in CAN FD:

1. FDEN bit was set in control register,
2. Set Nominal baudarate for 1 Mbps and fast baudrate for 2 Mbps was configured,
3. In Message object function control register, Message Mode Control selected to : 5 "CANFD 64 bytes message mode",
4. BRS ans FDF was enabled,

After making these, the CAN-FD was not working and getting Passive Error and i have doubt on Bottom and Top Pointer in Message Object FIFO/Gateway pointer, which message object(It has 255 message objects) should use to send complete 64 bytes of data .

Please let me know, any changes need to be done,

Best radar for object detection

Hello,

I would like to make people/object detection system for a vehicle.
Idea is to detects people when the vehicle is going in reverse.
That means vehicle is going to be relatively slowly.
I have demo position2go kit, but I can't seem to configure it to detect reliably.
Sometimes it detects when nothing is there and sometimes it doesn't detect when there is a obstacle/people there.
Is this demo kit capable of reliable detection? Do I just need to better configure it or is there a better solution there?

Please help me, I'm willing to compensate you for your help.

Thanks for any reply in advance.

You need access to folder 10 AURIX TC3xx HSM, check with your Infineon FAE what you must do to get access to this folder or how you can get the AppNote.

Information on measurement techniques of high-speed voltage and current waveforms

Within an existing application usually the only current measurement that can be introduced without significant change of the structure is a Rogowski coil. This does not add inductance, but suffers from delay, limited bandwidth and
dV/dt induced disturbance.

In a dedicated characterization setup for low currents a coaxial shunt can be an attractive solution. Here you have to distinguish between internal series inductance (relevant for the bandwidth) and insertion inductance (limiting the di/dt you can achieve in the setup). So later one is dependent on how you integrate the shunt into your setup and it is rarely specified in the datasheet.

A characterization setup for higher current devices would most probably use pulse current transformers if you intend to use an off the shelf solution. Insertion inductance ins mainly governed by the way how you integrate the sensor into your setup, bandwidth by the number of windings, hence the transfer ratio) There are many publications on more advanced measurement methods, but then you would have to spend a lot of work on manufacturing and calibrating the sensor yourself.

What kind of differential probes would you recommend/ do you use for measuring high side MOSFET gate and drain-source waveform?

Hi collegues,
I has a similar problem, when I try to write CCUCON0 register using the DAP interface. Each time I get writing error. Are there any special conditions for DAP ( for SFR writing )?
As I understood, the ACCEN register is in all "1" by default, so, writing ia permitted.
