If the pinout of the device has the pins VCAP0 and VCAP1 then you would refer to the PMSLE as this is a low-end device.

For the TC387 only Chapter 11 (PMS) pertains.

EVR33 short detection doesn't use those limits.
Quote:

Short to higher voltage is deduced when the voltage regulator control output or pass device gate voltage has saturated at the lower limit and at the same time the regulator voltage output has crossed the absolute maximum limit. Short to lower voltage is deduced when the voltage regulator control output or pass device gate voltage has saturated at the upper limit and at the same time the regulator voltage output has stayed at the minimum limit.

AURIX Safety documentation includes a Safety Analysis Summary Report, Safety Manual, and FMEDA spreadsheet. The FMEDA lets you configure which parts of the AURIX are safety relevant to your application, lists the FIT rates for each portion, and lets you specify which hardware and software safety mechanisms your application will use. Contact your Infineon representative for details.

Addition of shift to add instruction

Hi,

I'm using the hightec compiler, and I'm seeing the following:
Attachment 4594

For addind a value, the compiler adds a shift left of 3.... why is that?
Code:

                offset = (j<<5);
  0x80000C2E 19 EF FC FF  LD.W      d15,[a14]-0x4
  0x80000C32 06 5F        SH        d15,0x5
  0x80000C34 53 1F 40 20  MUL.U    e2,d15,0x1
  0x80000C38 89 E2 68 F9  ST.D      [a14]-0x18,e2
                offset += destLoc;
  0x80000C3C 19 EF E8 FF  LD.W      d15,[a14]-0x18
  0x80000C40 06 3F        SH        d15,0x3
  0x80000C42 19 E2 F4 FF  LD.W      d2,[a14]-0xC
  0x80000C46 42 2F        ADD      d15,d2
  0x80000C48 0B F0 00 28  MOV      e2,d15
  0x80000C4C 89 E2 68 F9  ST.D      [a14]-0x18,e2

this causes the value of offset to be larger than I intend it to be.

Setting up VADC

I am running into the exact same issue. Looking at DAVE examples is not helping.

Does anyone know why all of the values for the VADC registers might default to 0xFFFFFFFF instead of the values given in the datasheet? (The same holds true for the USIC registers).

I am also trying to setup not using Dave Apps (I'm actually using Keil as the compiler, but using DAVE also shows these memory locations defaulting to 0xFFFFFFFF.).

I have attached a screenshot showing the registers as all F's, and a bit of the code.

Thanks

Will the expected DMA Address CRC value using SDCRC register be same even for Aurix 2G assuming same addresses and data as in the previous reply?

I2C Communication with TLE493DW2B6

Have you checked for possible error states of the I2C controller?
When TLE493D starts, it starts sending interrupts via the clock line, and that tends to mess up with I2C controllers.
I managed to get it working by sending a mode change to non-interrupting mode, before the TLE493D tried to interrupt.

CPUx put CPUx in IDLE

Hi

I use TC277 DC-Step where I have two cores running and want to put Core1 in idle state by itself.
After calling Mcu_SetMode(MCU_IDLE) from Core1, the core doesn't gets into idle state. I confirmed this by looking at REQSLP flag.

What could be that I'm missing here to put the core in IDLE state?

Thanks!

Disable/Enable Interrupt in Tricore(TC397)

Hello,

I am trying to disable interrupt by using the tasking compiler attribute(__disable() and __enable()). But this does not seem to disable the interrupt. Is there a way through which I can disable interrupt by setting some registers?
I already looked into the target specification of TC3xx , and found that the register address for ICR is 1FE2C. But I did not find the full register layout of this register. I read in some paragraph that , to disable all the interrupts globally,
I should set the ICR.IE bit to '0'. But I did not find the register layout in the specification. Can someone please help me with this?

XMC1302 and XMC1201 programming

Hello; I am new to Infineon microcontrollers
I need to program XMC1302 and XMC1201 microcontrollers
I am having a hard time in finding the right information regarding programming of these two MCUs :

1. What programmer hardware should I use in order to download / programm a hex file into these two MCU's Flash memory ? I am looking for a low cost solution, something like an evaluation board.
2. What software should I use for just programming these MCUs using the proposed programming hardware ?

3. I have PE Micro Multilink Universal, which says it can programm XMCs, but I could not find a software for it (free of course) .

Can anyone help me with some ideas?

1.2kV / 6mR SiC Power Module + EiceDriver maximum Fs

Dear Dominik,

in general the operation at several 100 kHz under ZVS condition is feasible with this module.

You have to do separate power loss and junction temperature calculations for the module as well as for the driver.

For the driver I have calculated a power demand of approx. 4 W. This power is dissipated within the internal gate resistance, the external gate resistance and the driver output impedance according to the ratios of resistance. With a total gate voltage swing of 20 V (I'd recommend -2 V and +18 V if you need no SC-rating) and recommended turn-on and turn-off gate resistors the peak gate current is approx. 9 A. The driver you mention would be marginally suitable from a peak current point of view, but for sure it is undersized under thermal aspects. Hence you should consider combining a lower current driver with an external booster. For the booster you should choose a solution with low thermal resistance to the PCB and cooling area on the PCB. Isolated gate driver ICs in general do not provide significant thermal dissipation capability as isolation requirements (clearance and creepage) and power dissipation enhancements (e.g. exposed die pad) are not compatible with each other.

Best regards,
electricuwe
